Nonsensical response from PCSE about their removal of guidance for gender marker changes for trans people on their website. My GP called today and confirmed they were processing my NHS number change (requested it before they decide adults can't change it either), so at least some surgeries still have the guidelines.

Also got my NHS Spine SAR through, with an interesting gender section. This is meant to be impossible.

I am rushing to try and get mine through now. Had my name/title changed with my GP for over a year but didn’t occur to me that the gender would not change too until this broke last week and then checked my blood test forms etc. Not holding my breath though as they have been obstructive in the past!

It should be fine, the process still exists and they should be able to do it.

What annoys me is we have to do it at all. Apparently I didn't need to, my NHS number's Spine record says Female.

We all know what comes next btw. It doesn’t get added back and in the hope everyone will forget it’s an option/GPs refusing to do it because they can’t find guidance from official websites.
