Same in Australia. Virtually every church, school and public used facility is used as a polling booth. We have a non-partisan National Electoral Role that you can enrol to vote at age 18. You never have to state which political party you follow.

The 🇨🇦 ballots issued have to be reconciled to the vote count to ensure none are missing. A control # is assigned to each ballot, which is recorded and torn off when the ballot is put by the voter into the ballot box.

The counting is also done efficiently and securely. For the record, that was the way it was done for the 2024 elections in the UK. Funny how the only major country with "issues" was the one that claims to be the "greatest democracy".

I'll be one of the people counting. You can ALWAYS tell when a pencil "X" has been erased - that makes it a spoiled ballot. If you make a mistake, you ask for a new ballot.

Emphasis on “a paper ballot“. You can’t cheat. The count is scrutinized. Then ballots are sealed. The process is safeguarded for integrity and security. Sure it’s a longer process but IMO it’s far superior. No one can scream THE ELECTION WAS STOLEN. ❤️🇨🇦 forever.

I’ve worked as a scrutineer in the past. There’s 1 from each party at every table when ballots are being counted & any of the scrutineers can challenge validity of a ballot. It gets set aside & reexamined after rest are counted & all have to agree it’s valid for it to count. This is all such BS
