The fact some of these resignation letters are so scathing tells me these people know a lot more about behind the scenes negotiations. We will find out at some point, it is so much worse than what we presently know.

The "it was never going to be me" is so powerful. He got one shot at making a statement that would be made public and decided to proactively shame anyone who decides to drop the case and to also draw a red line for everyone else in these positions to reference. So smart, strategic and honorable.
