It's frankly shocking that the "rights and interests" are used in the same sentence as if they're equivalent. Women do not have a common set of interests. They do have a common set of rights that they share with everyone else, including trans women, under the equality act.

And single-sex spaces isn't a *right*, it's an exception to equality that's permitted, just like exclusion of trans people, under the exemptions for gender reassignment, is an exception that can be permitted if it's a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim.

Currently, transphobic lesbian groups can exclude trans women under gender reassignment exemption.

If sex is defined as biological then an inclusive lesbian group would NOT be able to exclude cis men.

There would be no mechanism for a lesbian group to exclude cis men and include trans women.
