Alright, I have a VERY important question for y'all.
What's the COZIEST video game ever?
What's the COZIEST video game ever?
Comments
Honorable mentions to the sonic adventure chao gardens and the eat at joes screen in rayman 1
( It was the only video game I ever played.)
(Did anyone else have this one as their fav?)
Take it seriously! Gotta get those hours in!!
Lol but daayum.... Ive only been up 4hrs and I could go for a nap right now
I wanna sleep so long it hurts good lol
BUT DONT LET THAT STOP YOU AT MID-MAXING THAT REM SLEEP! Maximum Effort!!
Like, cozy makes me think of Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing but those aren't really my jam
So I guess...
I've had games that helped me through tough times and hold a soft spot in my heart like Banjo Nuts n Bolts and Axiom Verge
I've got more hours in those games because I just vibe in them 🤔 so I guess that's my version of "cozy"?
(GameCube)
😌
I haven’t played New Horizons
(I would love to) but I imagine it’s just as cozy if not cozier.
No matter how long I've been away it's always so easy to pick it up and start a new character; even easier now on D2R with shared stashes and other QOL stuff
I always know what I'm getting into and the character dialogue/voice acting makes me feel at home and young again
There's something relaxing about a Meph run or brainlessly grinding lol
Runner ups: GB Tetris, Spyro (OG Trilogy/Reignited), The Sims, Portal
I'm never more cozy then fishing out at sea with the threat of some eldritch monster chasing me.
My kid insists on playing it with him, and I really enjoy the father-son bonding experience the game provides.
Maybe animal crossing?
There is no coziest games I guess. The coziest game is the one you desire most when you are relaxing
Not accepting questions at this time.
Thank you.
That’s the last chance I’m giving you till then.
But Stardew Valley is nice, it’s just that time gives me anxiety
So many think of Stardew as cozy but it's the opposite for me. You gotta keep note of the time and plan your entire day out in advance to maximize time; otherwise you're bouncing around trying to figure out what to do next and by time you figure it out, it's like 6pm already.
Something about the world is very calming. The quiet isn't as unnerving as you'd think, and the OST is awesome
I could sit there in silence for a pretty long time, doing nothing but vibing lol
It’s cozy to me.
When your not doing missions and your just exploring and travelling around the old west. Brilliant weather system, great atmosphere, the sounds. Love it 👌
I’ve never played it.
Thank you
I've been a fan of the games going back to Red, Blue and Yellow but nostalgia can't carry over how dated those can be. The X and Y games were the first to take out a lot the of heavy grinding aspects and just leave me with a more relaxing chill gaming experience.
Unpacking would be my traditional choice
For me that'd be Yoshi's Egg for the original Game Boy with the Fire Flower track playing.
Just shuts down most of my brain.
...The Witness.
Climb a mountain, or not. Go make friends, or not. Find treasure, or not. Eh, have fun doing what you're doing.
Against the Storm for me, on q lower difficulty so I can just chill.
I think I got it free - which is already the best kind of game - but also just hours of listening to Stephen Fry talk nonsense.
But for coziest, I’m going with Harvest Moon 64
99% moving decorations in a home I'll never live in while obsessing over colors and 1% actual combat
Pokke Village is such a warm place, despite the cold mountain aesthetic.
Dark souls 1
Something about it just hits different
I remember when AC was announced and they said it used a real time clock. I couldn’t even comprehend how that would be used in game. Now it’s one of the things I love most about AC games. Late night deals.
Don’t mind the Grannies, we won’t bite! 🤭
Maaaaaaaaan.... It's everything I wanted in Zelda 🤣 PEAK LOOT GOBLIN ENDORPHINS
But yeah, I super vibe in games where it's about the journey and making your own fun
Sky: Children of the Light
Super Mario World on SNES lol
Like harvest moon (story of seasons) is OG for sure, Animal crossing too but to a point gets too repeating game loop wise... I'm always a sucker for cute farming games.
