It's Metallica for me. They were revered as god like at their peak, but if we're honest, they haven't made meaningful music since The Black Album
it’s not that the later stuff is necessarily bad, but the energy and vibe of the music definitely shifted with OG members leaving the band (supposedly because the lead is kind of toxic to work with which always kind of sours things for me)
My vote is The Number Twelve Looks Like You.
They turned into lounge pop so fast after their first decade
I’d say manic street preacher after Richie’s death became bland Brit pop because the holy bible is a fantastic album.
