Every single state in the country has an academic institution that receives significant funding that is now facing a crisis. So we get to watch the parade of Senators explaining why THEIR state universities deserve to be spared, while of course they support the broader mission of academic cuts.

Birmingham also has a big VA Hospital within that medical complex. There are a LOT of Veterans in AL and surrounding areas that use that hospital and its services. She has not mentioned it yet … watching …
