Thank you for reposting this podcast, really interesting discussion about all the platforms and where we are heading. 3 guys shouldn’t control the public discourse, bring on the competition!
Never liked Threads, and I became increasingly annoyed by X. Used Twitter for 15 years…and I truly liked it until someone really really messed it up!!!
Are you on Substack too by any chance? I know it's yet another time-consuming endeavor, but I really feel like it's the perfect platform for you. It could benefit from more Covid conscious perspectives too...
Don’t shoot the messenger. Are we walking into a bigger fly trap?
Dave Troy notes the biggest investors in Bluesky being run by the same people who run Russian state media. My friend Joe posted about this at length. BS ties to the same type of tech bros/libertarian as E Mush.
Proceed with caution.
Unfortunately Mastadon isn’t a well designed platform or product—because it isn’t one. Bluesky however definitely gives product vibes. We like it because it’s user friendly.
REMEMBER on these platforms, the real product is us. WE are the only way they work, grow, succeed. But THEY make the money.

I don’t want to be a kill joy. I like it here too. Still don’t get to comfort.

That’s sufficient.
