Normally my favourite bit of Christmas with a nice piece of Wensleydale. However this morning Iβve had a lovely breakfast in my Norwegian hotel. Not mince pie.
πβ¦.Not a problem! Holiday breaks are full of tradition and what you fancy. I actually had Xmas pud with warm custard for breakfast on Boxing Dayβ¦π€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈπ€·ββοΈ
I had a Ferrero Rocher - pretty sure thereβs some kind of food amnesty around this time of the year where nothing really counts for around 7 days. Go for it? π€£
Not really. Just make an enriched dough with fruit on it. I made it hard for myself as I forgot the butter and had to re knead to ensure it properly mixed. Prove, shape and add marzipan, prove and bake. Nom!
Absolutely not!
We're in what I refer to as the 'fuck it' part of the run down to Christmas, where simply getting everything ready is the focus and all other things fall by the wayside. (Including healthy eating and most of my sanity.)π€·π
You made a point! Normally during the summer school holidays I used to fly to my grandma's, who lived in Reading and I was gutted you could not get them. I had to content myself with apple pies.
When I visited my mum early she said she wasnβt going to by any more mince pies because somebody keeps eating them. Which is funny because she is the only person in the house that eats them. Her resolve lasted about a hour until I took her shopping and she bought some more.
I am going into a recovery programme today
Discovered Mr Kipling Signature open mince pies a few weeks ago and have emptied the shelf at my supermarket.
Of course, I can stop any time I want π€₯π₯§

I keep meaning to have a go at making the middle ages version with real meat in (not for my breakfast though)- has anyone had a go & how was it?

You should have many mince pies for breakfast.
Smart choices are for the rest of the day.
Many children will have been having chocolate for breakfast since 01 Dec π³
