I started writing a dystopia novel (with happy ending) and I stopped as I noticed it was happening in real life like, verbatim, its scary how close it is.
It’s no secret I’m opinionated about the world, but I don’t set out to address current events in my cartoon universes. Sometimes it’s just unavoidable though when you’re making a power hungry villain and there is just one in reality. I really didn’t think we’d be here 2 years ago when we wrote it
It's kinda maddening how easy those people are to predict. Anything close to an accurate portrayal just kind of becomes prophetic, regardless of if you base their actions on the past or try to make something new, because the pool of possibilities with them is this really shallow kiddie pool.
You're opinionated about the world? Maybe learn how to be opinionated about yourself and have some self awareness. This isn't even your cartoon universe, you stole the pilot and gather fan theories on social media to appease the brain dead fanbase...

The 2020's were supposed to be the future, an advanced post-scarcity world. Someone mistyped while writing the plot of the universe and gave us a post-satire world instead
I admit that in the worst way we are in that era where reality surpasses fiction Vivzie. yes they kept animation alive, but they were so cheap and cost cutting it made people think this is what animation is when in reality it was all the budget cuts animation kept getting since the 1920s now taking effect.
because of how shotty the animation was from the 50s all the way to the 80s that's 3 decades of a generation of people growing up with this mentality on top of societies treatment of animation in general and it just creates Brain rot

Well, at least it'll help us cope... and even your most sinister characters have way more charisma and are more fun. There's also the hope that they'll get thoroughly thrashed at some point. I take comfort in that.
It's also frustrating because I love Vox as a character, and want everyone else to face those complex feelings for Voxs sexy evil badness, but not conflate them with hate for RL not-sexy evil badness.
