yes they kept animation alive, but they were so cheap and cost cutting it made people think this is what animation is when in reality it was all the budget cuts animation kept getting since the 1920s now taking effect.
because of how shotty the animation was from the 50s all the way to the 80s that's 3 decades of a generation of people growing up with this mentality on top of societies treatment of animation in general and it just creates Brain rot
