It is unclear and was in the middle of checking - The list on Scottish Power Energy Networks does not include any power cuts in or near Edinburgh at present. (their map is a little antiquated looking) https://www.spenergynetworks.co.uk/pages/power_cuts_list.aspx

This confusion is due to the politicians who privatised electricity.

A confusing mish-mash of distribution network operators and suppliers. What was the South of Scotland Electricity Board and the North of Scotland Hydro Electric Board split into pieces as part of the Englisisation of electricity.
