No, it makes sense. The only reason you wouldn’t have heard people talk about productions that no one is allowed to talk about is there are no productions that no one is allowed to talk about. What other reason could there be for people not talking about productions no one is allowed to talk about?
Return of the Jedi was partially produced under the fake title "Blue Harvest" which was used during production to keep elements of the film secret, avoid price gouging, etc …
(That’s also why the Family Guy Star Wars parody is titled “Blue Harvest”)
Not being allowed to disclose particulars is one thing, but not being allowed do disclose the production as a whole is essentially a non-existent circumstance. I have worked on dozens of productions, many of which had us sign NDAs, none were quite so secret.
I have friends who work in post production and they’re not allowed to say a word about it. The productions are all under fake names to keep them secret.
Has anyone actually believed on this? Because yeah that happens a lot, especially over the last 15-29 years. Sorry reality doesn't meet your assumption.
I am thinking you have not had a NDA in 8 years. Post Marvel movies even small productions are hush hush about everything. Many projects do not start marketing until near end for fear of ideas being stolen. Many projects fail and the NDAs still exist after shut down.
then either they weren't as under wraps, or you violated them without realizing because you didn't understand them, and probably shouldn't be hired for another production ever
really weird to argue about this with someone who has more experience in the business
Dude, you liked your own post? 🙄 Just say “I won’t show you my IMDb page because I don’t actually have a 33 year career in Hollywood.” It seems like you have been playing pretend all this time.
you have zero credibility and either think people should just trust you because your ego is so massive, or know that nobody will trust you, and won't even try to persuade anyone... which is trolling, a pathetic thing for someone in their 50s+ to do
We don't believe you because you demonstrate no actual knowledge of what you speak nor any sign of a decency of character that would lend you credibility.
Your butchering of the English language leaves something to be desired. And, for the record, I care not if you do, or do not, believe me. I’m not here as a melodramatic, attention seeking nitwit.
My English is close to perfect, you barely literate fuckmuppet. And you are absolutely here being a melodramatic, attention seeking, no talent assclown. Your entire account is about generating attention but you're not interesting enough to do so without being a liar and a bigot.
I freelance at a company that makes costumes for the film and TV industry. We sign NDAs that prevent us from even naming the title of the films/shows we’re working on publicly until after they’re released. This is totally a thing and very common!
And lots of times movies have fake production names that are used instead of the real title. Like Blue Harvest for Return of the Jedi or the last two Avengers movies being filmed as “Mary Lou”
Every single movie and series on Apple TV+ has some odd little codename used by production, vendors, etc. I think there was even one where its codename was the actual title of another series or something close to it. Some were clever, some were head scratchers.
I was getting coffee next to an extras meeting for Superman up here in Cleveland right before they were setting up a shot and the producer couldn't even say out loud what character they were about to be filming with. Even though it was extremely obvious who it was.
Gail I know you do this stuff professionally, but I can tell you from having seen a few things on the internet and having watched a few movies in my time that even though I have zero experience my imagination has worked out how these things operate.

(I’m saying that the way you say it when someone brings you an unexpected gift because I thrive on chaos.)
