don't knock it, some of the best writing I've ever seen has been shitposting, and I think that's where some of the best writers will come from. it has forced me to hone my craft, definitely

My original reason for quitting twuitter was that I'd walk around for hours, sometimes a day and a half, moving words round in my mind trying to find the leanest most effective version of a zero like joke that wasn't my job or my relationship
I agree. Limited characters make you use your vocabulary skills and hone your writing.

In black American culture we call this - "jonesing" or "the dozens" or other things, same name.
It's considered fun sport & a right of passage, but is also a social conditioning to give us a tough skin by teaching us to laugh at ourselves & our real-world flaws while rejecting imposed narratives.
