It was a combination of corporate media not holding them both to same standards coverage & Dems relying on the MSM and not developing strong alternative messaging. Tenet Media personalities were found guilty of accepting Russian bribes to amplify disinfo. Definitely weak spot in getting info out.
I never watched that thankfully, there were too many shows like that back then (insane compared to now). It's hard with so much spin, the cause/effect over time, overlooked or missed warning signs and how much fear is driving action. Gets scarier since it seems to be coming from every direction.

If you didn't watch the interview with Jon Meacher, both Jons made your point very clear. This country is destined to be flawed if it merely adheres to the Constitution.
I took that as a point Jon is making, in this interview and in a segment on The Daily Show. There are some actions that our D reps can take, and their hands are tied if they adhere to the law of the land.

Yes to Adam Kinzinger, but if you really want to deep dive into the flaws of the D party, I would be very interested in Katie Porter's perspective. I don't have any idea if she would be willing to talk, but I would be very interested in how she went from media darling back to teaching at UCI.
I suspect the D's weren't happy with her attack on corporate CEO's that called out all their b.s., and she threw her hat in the ring for CA Senator too early. She was also outspoken about Adam Schiff's financial backing in that race. If there was ever a time for a viable 3rd party, it's now.
This is one of my favorite interviews John has done. There's lots to disagree with, but I give Gov. Christie credit for having intelligent respectful responses.

And, I have found no evidence to support Chris Christie's nebulous non-specific assertion that in the federal government, there were unqualified people hired due to DEI.
I worked in the Fed gov't until Jan 2024 and au contraire! It seemed to me that there were implementation difficulties in applying D&I to widen the pool. Agencies maintain data that describe the makeup of their workforce; the needle didn't move much; our staff did not mirror the country's makeup.
The fact that you are just now acknowledging that depresses me more.

I think at least in part the chaos is a product of ineptitude. Maybe he loves it because he is incapable of competence, and when things are chaotic it impedes everyone else’s capacity to be effective thus bringing them closer to his level.
Unfortunately, Chris Christie is 100 percent correct. Trump can't operate well in a system of rules, policies, and laws. He has neither the intellect or the attention span. But he thrives in chaos, where rules, policies, and laws are ignored.
