Biden’s Gaza policy was horrific, and it rightly was protested, and these protests drew lots of negative attention. Trump’s Gaza policy is far worse and his foreign aid cuts will kill many more people this year and the left is sort of like “this is Biden’s fault for having a bad Gaza policy.”

I try engaging with these far leftists. I even adopt their language and say, "yes, I voted for Genocide Kamala because I thought Trump would be worse on this issue and every other one" and then they snip my post so it says "I voted for genocide" and say "look the libs are being honest".

My feeling right now is that Democratic politicians can be reasoned with; Republican politicians can not be. They're all-in on the crazy: 6-0 on SCOTUS, 53-0 in the Senate and the only division in the House is with the Even More Crazy Caucus.

It’s about whether you think your protests are more about persuading the people you’re protesting, or about calling attention to it to try to gain wider attention even if you know it’s less likely they’ll give a fuck.

I also don't think a lot of those people understand how it delegitimizes them. If you claim to protest something because it is immoral, your behavior would reflect that.

Instead we saw people protesting only Dems because that's who they thought they could influence.

I suppose I remember the protests at the airports in 2016 differently.

And even if that is true, Republicans do listen to the middle. And if the left would do more to appeal to the middle or talk to the middle, progress can be made.
