As the size of a person’s belly grows, the memory center of their brain shrinks and beta amyloid and tau may appear — all of this occurring as early as a person’s 40s and 50s, well before any cognitive decline is apparent, according to new research.

Bluesky requires less puff and human interest. Where is the strong leftist voice in today's social media? @cnn.com has an opportunity here to stand out. Public opinion of your network aside you have a real opportunity here. Lead the charge.
The entire platform is NOT for leftists, the platform is politically and ideologically neutral. However due to the US election results and the takeover of X by Musk, and his allies and supporters, it is mostly populated by leftists at the current time.
I'm not sure either anything run by people is going to have some bias. I should perhaps have said it's intended to be neutral according to it's creators.
This according to your article was based on a study of 32 people…hardly an adequate sample for some SWEEPING generalizations and equating correlation to causation. Come on.
Ffs, can we have this discussion without shitting on fat people? Fat is not an indicator of political affiliation, and plenty of thin ppl (like my Mom) still die of dementia.
Ah, the universe's cruel joke - as our waistlines expand, our memory centers shrink! It's like Netflix bingeing: more episodes, less recollection of what happened in season 1. Stay active, folks!
My mom weighed maybe 100lbs. A little woman all her life. My dad wasn’t heavy either. So maybe there is a link here, but it’s likely not the main culprit.
The key word here is "may." Plenty of obese people make it into their mid 80s without being stricken with dementia before dying of something else. My grandmother was always overweight, and she was clear minded prior to dying of cancer.
POPPYCOCK !!!!!! … 🤔Hmmm wait what was I going to say ? Just a moment While I chomp these cheetohs and gather my thoughts. Oh yeah has anyone seen my Car Keys or my Car for that matter. Never mind can someone drive me to McDonald’s ?
Don't forget about the pot bellied women on the left promoting the body positivity movement. Seems like they forgot what a woman is and that men cannot get pregnant.
Being healthy is good, but this article just connects previous CNN articles to build up this conclusion. CNN certainly doesn't have the medical credibility for that.
