I like the interesting dilemma aspect - a one pick song implies a lack of popularity amongst the pickers, so do you main a song with 3/4 picks that is effectively through? Or stick with your idiosyncratic choice? I’ll be doing the latter

Some of it may be “winning”, some of it may just be it’s your favorite song and you have an affinity towards that you also happen to share with a bunch of other people who put it on their lists
Doing the latter here, although I'm going for something I think there's a good chance people haven't heard then my original plan of pushing through something that (much as I love it) I just no has no chance of picking up the votes.
Yes we do. I am torn between going with the song that was my original main pick but now seems safely in, a song I had forgotten was released last year, and a song by one of my friends released near the end of the year

They're in three categories:
- top 4 songs of year, always qualifying, would need a v strong reason to 'main' any of them
- 2 I didn't expect to get in without being a main but there they are
- 4 tactical 2nd-tier, iike old school bonuses
