As the US film industry is collapsing, Canada should reinstitute a new era of tax shelter film investment. We have a chance to introduce the next David Cronenbergs and Bob Clarks to the world while taking advantage of this moment to become a larger part of the cultural pie.

We should be taking a piece off every giant US TV production for Canadian creators. Also we should add a foreign subscription model to CBC Gem

They inflated ticket costs mask this loss partially. But globally, our film impact wanes. The coming tariffs will accelerate this trend, likely.
Higher costs = fewer films made.
