Nice set up you got there. Arden Vul is by far my favorite megadungeon. One of my favorite parts about it is the fusion of sci-fantasy elements. Tragically, my players didn’t get to see much of it last time I ran the dungeon.

Arden Vul was written for 1E which generally has a straight 1:1 translation to 2E. I was previously adapting 1E to OSE but it got to be a huge pain point for me as DM. So I’m switching my OSE table over to 2E. Putting both Arden Vul groups in 2E is going to make my life so much easier.

My players generally find OD&D a little too simplistic and want more options. When I was talking about OSE I actually meant Advanced OSE with the carcass crawler supplements. I like to give them lots of options for how to approach things. How long have you been running AV?

Haven't actually run it yet, except for one test session with my daughter to see how well it ran in Whitebox. Hoping to start it with my group in the next couple of months. Mainly, I'm just too damned cheap to buy OSE. But if it works 2E...
