honestly think Outbrain is a good candidate for where It All Went Wrong

I deleted most info on my FB page a while ago, keeping my account just so 1) I can use it for work (like messaging people) and 2) nobody squats on my name.

And I've noticed that "Reels" is now basically Outbrain or Taboola - disgusting images meant to attract your eye, usually AI junk.

I suspect it is, but it just makes me want to click less. Supposedly there's a browser extension that breaks Reels specifically, but I haven't tried it.
