I have a lot of stress about that. And also the changing nature of language.
For instance, I was going to reply to someone’s stupid post, calling them an “absolute golem”, but then became weirdly convinced that someday “golem” will be a slur and I’ll have retroactively spewed hate speech.
for what it's worth, context and nuance also went to die back on Tumblr, where you could basically post a small essay with no problem, so i think the bigger issue is people being willfully dense
my only interaction with tumblr was making an account when i was like 20 and within two days having a gender crisis after which I freaked out and told myself i was cis and didn't think about it again for 8 years
Goodness, so relatable.
"Nothing makes me more worried than people thinking I meant something meaner than I did. I definitely should get into community management and peer leadership"
You gotta internalize the "god forbid women have hobbies" attitude. Comics can't all be Family Circus tame sometimes they've all got to have their dicks ou--- nevermind cancel that sentence
What if you did a katamari comic where just one guy has a really hard dick and the rest of the polycule is bullying him because he’s making the katamari hard to steer straight
🐝 If that wasn't already your biggest anxiety, it was going to become it eventually. Either that or you just get mad at everyone who interprets anything differently.
