I really hope the exact tone of my sneering contempt is resonant enough to echo in your mind when I call this "Some Real China Daily-Level Shit"

Also, it's not. The only part of the gulf America can name is the part on the US coast. It cannot change the name of the whole body of water, because it does not own the body.

I went into the Google review option, gave it a one star, and commented that they had the name wrong.

You wouldn't happen to have a link to the old article when China threw a tantrum over "Sea of Japan"?

The Maya called the Gulf of Mexico Chaknaab, meaning "great water."
The Aztecs (Nahuatl speakers) named it Huaxyacacapan or Panotlan, meaning "place where one crosses by water."
You’d think DT would appreciate big water and great water or maybe even “So Great of Water.”

At one point after the PR e/q, he repeatedly referred to it as “big water. Big ocean water.” So you’d think he’d be all up on that now…

Shows how stupid goppers are. Wanna rename it? Just sell the name and make 10bn. ‘Gulf of Exxon’: for what matters.

We need a Gulf of Mexico as the South China Sea (you know, stand-ins for the Spratlys and Mischief Reef etc) map stat.
