If you at all enjoy the art of film-making, it would be worth watching some of the making-of stuff behind John Wick and then watching the movie again, paying attention to the detail and not just the action. This is just a masterful movie regardless of whether you enjoy the action genre or not.

I want to add: make sure you check out the original music version of The Raid. Sadly this means not the dubbed streaming version, as that comes with the Americanized music, which makes it…well I’ll just straight up say “mediocre” imho, the new music is great out of context, but the vibe is ALL wrong

Random trivia: firing off a bunch of rounds will cause the suppressor to get so hot that you can use them like an old car’s socket cigarette lighter. So their bespoke as fuck tailored suits are both bullet AND fire resistant. I’m kind of mad real clothing doesn’t get that practical. 😁

I mean to be fair, Winter Solider is up there among the best Marvel has made and I felt it was the closest they ever got to commentary outside of Black Panther (both felt fairly safe, but still, nice)

Watching all four John Wick movies back to back with my family for the first time ever (ending by watching the fourth one in theatres!) was singlehandedly the best experience I’ve ever had. Even my mom, who loves romcoms over action movies, enjoyed watching it.
