Well I've just finished Simon Schama's "Citizens" about the French Revolution and my takeaway from that is "I'm very glad not to live in France in the Jacobin-era."
So I've now bought your book on Kindle for my insomnia reading. If it has a story as good as the Swedish goat, I'll be happy.

Walked into Waterstones on Wednesday and it seemed rude not to buy it. Read it on a train to Utrecht where I encountered the Limes again. Enjoying it a lot.

My US publisher retitled it - they felt it would do better in the American market that way. I leave such things to them, on the assumption they know more than I about how to sell books
