You know how when you buy something, you have to pay ~7% sales tax? A 25% tariff on Canada means that if the thing you're buying was made in Canada, you pay ~32% sales tax instead.
The end consumer pays.
I just drooled laughing at that!
🤣👊💙😁😎
The importer then charges more to the distributer who charges more to the retailer.
You now pay more for that thing. Or whatever was more expensive to start with. That’s called inflation.
Yeah because *snap* new factory is built.
Also why spend money on building a new factory when the stupid fucks who thought he would be good will just pay the added money to cover the tariff.
Plus with the immigration policy
And yeah...I'm in Canada. We're fucking tired of dealing with Trump's tantrums and how they fuck us over every goddamn time.

I live in New Zealand and we do have tarrifs on some products but as far as i am aware, the government of the day tries not to go overboard with tarrifs.
Unlike the Orange Man.
Though, the ceramics students make most of the sales. Sigh.
Country A looks at country 2 and says 'i need your stuff to cost more'
So A look at his companies that import over borders and says 'when you take possession of anything from that country, you owe me a quarter per dollar on the invoice'
And since that's a new cost, it gets passed along.
