Lawyers of Bluesky: how would the case of affirmative defense: defense of other people’s lives, play out in the courtroom? Could it be used to expose evil internal corpo practices?
“One of the officers asked the person to pull his mask down, and when he did, they both recognized him from the photographs circulating of the suspect. After they asked him if he was in New York recently, they wrote, he “became quiet and started to shake.”

With AI monitoring and evaluating the files produced by the network of cameras in urban areas, the only way he could have gotten away with this is to enter the network already "disguised", commit his crime, and then exit the network, still disguised. This could be blocks or miles.
My sweet summer child… the compute power necessary for this sci-fi stuff…it reminds me photo enchantments from the movies. Unless you can credibly prove me wrong- yes, some bits and pieces are automated, but investigating it is NOT click of a button and more likely pain in the arse.
I doubt we’ll ever get the full story behind his motivations. We are supposed to feel sorry for the heartless insurance CEO’s who are responsible for letting people die every day after all.
Most upsetting.. A well educated, capable young man who gave it up. Nothing was accomplished. Two people down. Well, MB claims admin . will do be better or underwriting will improve or sales will demand both.
Wild how this is an actual real loophole in the justice system now.. however unlikely, how can a jury be assured their verdict will have any meaning if a consequence cannot be guaranteed?
Just fyi a public option would never work. Insurance companies would only cover healthy people and the rest would be left to burden the public option until it collapses. Single payer makes sure the whole system is well funded so rich folks can get the cover the want. But in general yeah f*ck Biden.
What you’re describing is essentially what Medicare is now: they cover the disabled and people over 65. An affordable public option might actually bring some more healthy folks into the system, especially small businesses and the self-employed
As long as there's a private insurance option that is the one the wealthy will go for there by underfunding the public one. Finland saw a similar issue with their schools. Once they allowed private ones the public ones that were kicking our ass went to 💩
And also the NY Taxpayers gets to foot the bill for the reward vs the trillion dollar company that this BILLIONAIRE ran… Idiots keep rooting for the rich thinking they’ll some how get some.

Tough call for the hegemony.
So let him go, and end this stress.
And not by letting them volunteer funds. Tax them to death.
