For Senator Bernie Sanders, there is no joy in being right. He worries that too many Democrats remain reluctant to shake up the system and does not regret defending Joe Biden. We spoke with him about his upcoming plans. https://nyti.ms/4hKOB2P

What a pity Bernie didn't win the nomination in 2016. He is a courageous, tenacious, articulate defender of working people. He has remained steadfast in his values for decades. He is an independent thinker and does waver according to opinion polls. A giant compared to Trump and his fascists.
Why would we back you just to have your beleaguered party stab you in the back for a third time to swing the votes to an alternate candidate that fits the narrative better... no offense, but fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me
Wrong. Plenty of dems want to shake up the system, but DNC has too much control. They would hit him over the head again like whack a mole anyway. DNC is a platform for the wealthy elite keeps us down and robs us of dignity.
I could be missing something but he has sponsored or cosponsored 421 bills as of February 2020 and 3 have passed. Two were for post offices. I agree with some of his stances but in my opinion he hasn’t shown himself to be a leader or problem solver.
But what did Trump do that convinced so many that he would be a "successful President" the first time around? I wonder if this "convincing" is based on reality...
Trump is incapable of doing anything but destroying what he touches. He’s a vile excuse for a human being, always has been. He shouldn't get a visitor’s pass to the White House, let alone occupy it. The country has really stepped in it this time, and we’re in the most critical fight of my lifetime.
And yet he convinced so many to give him the most important vote of trust. Do you really think that Bernie's "only 3 passed" is that important? My point is that the "convincing" needn't be based on accomplishments. 🤷🏻♀️
I believe the US presidency is the most challenging job in the world. It requires someone capable of identifying challenges, fighting injustice, and constructing a team that can implement solutions. Too many Americans seem to have an all-or-nothing definition of progress. I'm not in that camp.
I think about this every time I listen to him speak. I (and many other Canadians) have certainly been like “wait, if you don’t want him, we’ll take him!” — he’s a treasure.
Good. Stupid old coot is why we got Trump the first time. He is not a Democrat!! Why would the DNC have supported him? He was a spoiler..like Nader. He was only there to hurt Clinton, which he did, and we got Trump.
The views of this platform,NYT, was so shady and so jaded that it got us where we are today. Half of why we’re here is because of the American public who didn’t care, the other half was the mainstream media, this news media platform included, and frankly, I’m sick of opinion pieces..
History shows that democracy isn’t lost unless people give up on it. The fact that so many are mobilizing against authoritarian overreach means the fight is far from over. Hope isn’t just about believing things can change, but making sure they do. Now is the time for action.
Hey, @nytimes.com , the real question is do YOU regret your slanted, unfair coverage of what was a great President now that you see our Constitution being ripped apart and no DOJ in sight? That’s the real question
True @nytimes.com BS framing: “does not regret defending President Biden”. Biden was the President who built the best economy in the world and strengthened our alliances around the world while not selling our federal government to the highest bidder. Another example of @nytimes.com unfair coverage
@nytimes.com is trying so hard for us to believe that their slanted coverage was justified. No. They ran a decent administration out of office to usher in corruption
oh god no. In comparison to what's there now, my neighbours 5 yr old would do a better job. Bernie isn't a global kind of guy. He does very well for the people of his state but we need someone with awareness of the world at large and the players.
President Trump said "Zelesky has no cards” and is not “important to be at meetings,” as he warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin could take all of Ukraine “if he wanted” on Friday.
This dangerous arrogance of deciding about Ukraine without Ukrainians should fill everyone with disgust!
f there was an olympic medal for Hitler Salute Elon musk would get the gold 10 out of 10 rating. He smashed his heart, bit his lip with 1000 years of white supremacist Valkyrie anger, grunted then did it again. I mean he Heil Hitler better than Hitler himself! New york times says "mystery gesture"!
We need his voice but what he should be developing the next generation. Biden’s first 2 actions should have been to add to the Supreme Court and to announce he was a 1 term President.
Donald Trump is 78 years old and he beat someone eighteen years younger than him; if the American electorate cares about a politician's age, it sure isn't showing up in the election results.
Tell everyone 100 times. I don't care how old Joe Biden is. We all need to.put some respect on his name. Let's start a list of persons who beat Cheeto. Wake me up when you finish that list.
That is the LEAST interesting part of the interview. Senator Sanders has been right all along. The fruit of the U.S. political system now rots on the oligarchic vine, and the horse race has always meant everything to political media's bottom line. Look where it's gotten us.
There should be a shake-up in the democratic party. It's massively disappointing that it had to get to this point to do it.
But first, we need to get rid of state media like Fox and X. With those still around, many "gullible" Americans will still resist those who are really there to help

If someone can just show me where the portal is.
1) Not brokering the Democratic Convention the first time against Trump’s friend Hillary.
2) Backing down from Biden and letting him go in basically as a “better than that Socialist” candidate
In doing so the Progressive movement died and 1/3 the nation gave up voting.
It Susan!!!🙌

I’d vote for him.
