This is part of the problem, not something to celebrate. Everything is over valued in America, from houses, to sports figures, eggs and sports commentators.
I’m happy for the guy, but I don’t understand people who listen to argumentative people with low lifetime batting averages for fun.
I prefer to just watch the games.
An ESPN host will say something outrageous, which subsequently becomes a top story on…ESPN.
It’s borderline tabloid trash at this point and their NBA coverage is the worst. There’s great analysis out there, but you won’t find it on ESPN because they’re not interested in that.
Is there a reason why I should care what he thinks? Does he have influence? Can he change anything? Politics is not a game. The “I picked the winner/loser “ mentality is what’s wrong. Identity politics.
This is how they hook males into voting for former athletes turned politicians who then become hate puppets. They lost the actors so they can’t pull that crap anymore. Now they’re turning to retired athletes….
Stephen A. Smith securing $100M proves that sports media is no longer just about the game—it’s about influence, politics, and personality. Love him or hate him, he’s the face of modern sports commentary.
But does this mark a shift from analysis to entertainment?
I remember going to a ballgame every other weekend (bleacher seats) as a teen. Now to take my son and wife to a game is damn near $1000. So we go once a year because we love baseball. Now it’s absurd.
Ridiculous. Scream and yell on TV or a podcast. This country sucks. They’re gonna cancel PTI. They got McAfee and this wannabe who is jealous of his Kardashian wannabe on his show it’s a soap opera. This is so sickening.
