If sending prisoners to Guantanamo was questionable despite being US space in a foreign country, sending anyone to El Salvador has to be entirely unconstitutional. Like cruel and unusual and denying due process. Make it stop.
Stop calling it deportation! These people are sent to a concentration camp. People that are deported have the ability to build a life outside of the country they have been deported from. This is just disappearing people into a black hole with no ability for due process, no way to fix mistakes.
They haven’t been deported, that would involve a court hearing. They were kidnapped. I unsubscribed from your services because I prefer journalism over stenography and truth over balance. Your publication is a national disgrace.
Trump is weaker than President Bukele of El Salvador. Trump is his puppet now. Who could respect a deal maker that couldn’t get a man home that is incarcerated in error?
In related news, the @nytimes.com editors who tried and failed to appease press-hating fascists will meet with Trump following his declaration of martial law to beg for their lives.
