This looks like those "scary" cartoon bears. I can't remember if they're the sour patch ones or another? Anyways, cool shroom and cool pic!!! *mushroom emoji that we don't have* @support.bsky.team
Okay, now I found it here on the DT version too. I needed to unplug my brain and plug it back in! Thanks, I think? Are you laughing at me or with me? 😂
Not laughing at you wouldn't do that! I was laughing at my play on words

No, I'm glad I could help we are in this together
Wow gorgeous.. I don't know how you do it!? But maybe you can talk Trump into going with you on one of your foraging episodes, and you can steal his shoes...? 😂🍄🍄
My children and especially my grandchildren have no interest in mushrooms. What I believe could be a very profitable side hustle for you are Bugs. My grandchildren just love Beetles, Ants, Grasshoppers, Dragonfly and Centipede etc, so while out mushrooming why not do some bugging?
My SO saw these interesting things while she was hiking yesterday. I think it’s a slime mold, so not a mushroom per se, but kind of beautiful in a slimy fungal sort of way.
All slime molds are nontoxic & edible. They do not harm plants or animals, & while some eat mushrooms, this one does not. Wolf milk is actually antimicrobial & used as both food & antiseptic by some groups in Ecuador. I haven't tried it myself.

They transform their entire plasmodium into fruit bodies, which are mostly spores. Video of this branch is sparse, but below is a species with a similar plasmodium (by Bea Leiderman). I've read that slime molds are traditionally eaten during the fruiting process before all the water is removed.
This is Lycogala, aka wolf milk. It is not a fungus but an amoebozoan, a kingdom of floppy amoebas. Fungi are more closely related to you and me than to slime mold! This creature travels around hunting live bacteria & other microbes before forming these fruit bodies from its very large single cell

It almost looks like a slice of rare roast beef-but no brown edges.
(I would love to subscribe, but I just don't feel like I have the disposable income for it at the moment.)
