I think more are trying than we realize, because a lot of the stunts they come up with aren't breaking through (in some cases because the more clever ones break through, and in some cases because there's a lot of luck involved).

One thing I'm aware of is the previous two overnight Senate speeches, which got some coverage but not much. Warren and others did rallies at agencies, which did ok and then didn't.

over on CNN they are debating whether Dems should drop the deportation fight cause it doesn’t poll well - maybe it would be better if we fought for what is right and forget the polling. These people are getting no due process - and 90% have no record. Done with Dems if they listen to this shit.

Been saying this for years. The message they've always sent it is "We'll drop you in a flash if the fight might be hard". If they want their blue wave, they have to show that they'll actually fight for everyone. That means rural, working-class whites, but also transpeople, black folk and immigrants.

Booker only days after his long talk voted to allow an 8.8 billion dollar weapons package to go to Israel. His vote might have something to do with the fact that he has received nearly a million dollars from Israeli lobbying groups.

I actually hear from many Dem voters that they will be looking to vote for a vengeful, angry candidate 👀 - implying they don’t want one who will “too governmental”. The ire is the highest I have ever encountered . People want justice against this current admin- not just a righting of the ship.

See, I broadly agree but I really question the implicit assumption that AOC is not a mainstream Dem in 2025. Maybe she's not at the actual barycenter of the party but she is prominent and is seen as a legitimate voice trying to unite amd rally people. She's on the inside of the tent.
