Apparently all the money raised from Cpt Tom’s daily walking was given to the NHS, but afterwards the family set up a Charity trust and it’s from there that inflated salaries and costs were taken. So when the news and paper were endlessly reporting it wasn’t a charity

I’ve worked for, been a trustee of and funded charities all my working life of over 40 years. Occasionally come across 3rd party fraud, ie done to charities, and occasionally weak governance. Never come across so egregious case of theft & misconduct as here. So high profile a cause too. Shocking.
