This is it, only one more road left out of Hama, if the rebels take it, Assad will have sent loads of his tanks, troops, and special forces, only for them to be trapped and surrounded.

So far the rebels appeared as mostly light infantry. With Assadist reinforcements moving in, including armor - and with them aware of the risk, I have difficulty imagining closing Hama's encirclement without mechanised formations. Or do I lack imagination ? Or does Assad simply lack troops ?
well, there are still smaller roads they could try and take in that direction. But for how long? I would rather not want to be SAA defending Hama right now
true, most bridges on those small road would not be strong enough to carry those tanks. But they could still escape with their lives, if they are clever and leave #Hama ASAP
