Yes we need UK back. And UK needs EU. Canada should also join.And Greenland. And Iceland. And Ukraine. All on a fast-track procedure. But we also need to search for additional allies that previously did not want to be allies with us, because of the US. Many countries dislike US, but are fine with EU

Yes, but they’re still obliged by the EU treaties to adopt the euro sooner or later. The only countries that asked for an opt-out are Denmark and the UK.

I want the UK back in the EU and in a vote we'd be back in . . . Unless we were forced to lose the pound (especially when not all countries have the Euro). That would be catnip to the Brexiteers and the UK would stay outside. Not ideal so I suggest your idea is not adopted.

I would keep the common defense as a separate entity in the first step. Once you implicate the EU, you'll get your Hungarys and Slovakias to veto critical decisions and generally act in Kremlin's interest.
