Exactly right! Dems have got to face the reality that he will do "it" and let the criminal enterprise called the right wing courts sort it out. We know how that ends.
He has general immunity for presidential acts from SCOTUS. Until GOP/MAGA loses majority, he can’t be impeaches either. So he can do whatever he likes.
i am talking about this in an economic session i am this week. it's also "i don't think he will do it" when he literally is saying he will. or arguments about how laws prevent him from doing abcd... as if he won't just void or bypass those as he is known to do
Yes. He will do it, and he can do it, and most importantly he has long been funded and enabled to do it, by wealthy elites seeing that 1930 levels of debt+inequality (as measured % of GDP) cannot continue without reform, so Trump is there to end US democracy. This is the plot 99%+ are missing.
The only way the president "can't do that" is if the other branches of government and the courts, who were in theory created to be safeguards against these things, stop him and lmfao
Trump aka Project 2025 is making federal govt "rule by party" not "rule by law". Judges are people, if a MAGA militia has immunity to kill you or your family....friends etc, then life time terms mean very little.
Someone blocked me after he decided to reply with a "errrm, 'scuse me sweaty" on a post a made about Biden removing Cuba from the state sponsor on terrorism list.
what makes it even more frustrating is the everything trump promised he would do, he's just doing immediately after taking office while biden spent the past 4 years not getting enough accomplished because his hands were supposedly tied
Had someone go "doesn't he need to have a council meeting or advisory before he does something?" and had to explain "No that's not a thing flat out bro can do this while literally in the bathroom playing a mobile slots game"
I think the #FAFO framework adopted after the election is the best tool at the moment, tying the results of actions back to the actions and not being distracted I think can be effective. His hatred of the media really shows his one fear of being held accountable and exposed as a fraud and grifter
1/ yes exactly, when Trump is as per Project 2025 planning upping political appointees to federal civil service from customary 2000 to 40,000+, this means the "rule of law" in government has been replaced by "party rule".
2/ Judges are not going to stop him, when he can give immunity to those who threaten them, for making decisions Trump does not like. There will be no government agencies to implement decisions based on "rule of law" anyway.
3/ Next Trump can use federal power to over rule Democrat states. Drafting in the military or national guard from other Trump friendly states. Giving immunity to MAGA militia to attack State Officials who are upholding the law, rather than doing Trump's will.
4/ There is no one to stop him. The wealthy elites have seen that economic reforms are long overdue, as inequality + associated debt has reached 1930 levels (as % GDP). This time they want Trump to dismantle democracy, rather than have a modern FDR.

Trump can executive order that it's a crime to say he wears diapers, but it's not going to succeed.
"He just did."
Very little is normal anymore.
