Some are taking issue with me saying SEC is closing these offices instead of terminating office leases since this isn’t resulting in immediate firings.But I (and employees I’ve spoken to) don’t see a meaningful difference—the goal remains forcing people into quitting and hobbling agencies via chaos.

...at least in Chicago there's a history of corrupt sweetheart government real estate deals that go back decades.
I'm really sad to say it but DOGE may have accidentally targeted actual fraud.
