The irony here is that so many of these people left VZ because they hated Left Wing authoritarianism. They likely loved Bukele, Milei, and Trump. And right wing authoritarians sent them to be tortured by one of their heroes.
I think the "state secret" is that one or maybe two White House advisors called the shot on disobeying the Judge's order. Not cabinet level. Not secret. Not playing golf. Not even caddying.
this is gonna be just another demonstration of avoiding accountability by turning the law, the courts, and justice into a Zeno's paradox. (like most of his criminal trials, right?)
Problem with the judiciary and Trump is that judges are Xeno's Paradox-ing the censuring of clearly bad faith representations: "Tell me"; "if you don't tell me, I'll censure" "Tell me why I shouldn't"; "one last chance" "ok, one last, last chance". It's bullshit, fucking censure them already
Even if these men are criminals they do not deserve this treatment. People don’t do bad things or belong to gangs because the reject society. They become this way because of childhood trauma. Just like the felon in the White House.
My hometown is half Hispanic. Probably half the people I know there are 1st generation Americans. This list of names is 💔 no one deserves this, American or otherwise.
I taught in LA county, and at diverse districts in MA. I’ve had so many hard working kind students who were just learning English, students who were new to us from Guatemala…all sweet, kind kids.

Fourteen-year-olds? Really? I thought they looked like high-school kids, but I wasn’t thinking freshmen, more like senior varsity football players. Their families must be going crazy. 😱
To be clear I didn't post that but I do believe the Enemies Act allows that. I don't believe any of the men sent to El Salvador were that young. But since no due process we have no idea... many in 20s though.

I was listening to the news announcer who said ICE was rounding up men “fourteen or older” - this is worse than I imagined. The ICE were just filling their quota?This how the WWII roundups of young men happened in the Netherlands. Scary.
