Yeah it's hard to argue that Moore wasn't a good pick to have the name attached to him. Besides what you said, he served at the base, is buried there, fought in Korea and Vietnam, fought in the Battle of la Drang, and co-authored We Were Soldiers Once... And Young which was adapted into a film.
