The wording of a "pause" in care is so malicious. If we were to "pause" other kinds of essential medical care, people would understand what that means. What if we "pause" someone's chemo? Very bad, right?

I'm afraid then government would learn the hard way! Absolutely no way I'd 'detransition' and if necessary would just obtain hormones outside of military healthcare provision, obtain surgery with or without military knowing about it! If I have to defy orders so be it!

Can troops access it on their own, or is it prohibited?

To be clear - it is necessary care and should be given.
I just want to understand exactly is being ordered.

I couldn't possibly say it better at all. I look in the mirror and I see myself, and my mother and my wife know me.. the real me.. for the first time. It's worth it even if it does cost everything in the end. At least I got to feel what it is to be happy and alive.

The Trump administration is outright ignoring court orders. Lawsuits mean nothing anymore. And that's on top of the fact that we'd be relying on the same court that overturned Roe V. Wade.
