I have no sympathy for Republicans!! They should've impeached him, had two chances to do it. They are spineless and pathetic. No one deserves our disdain more than them. Liz and Adam left with their dignity intact. Maybe the rest need to finally get some principles that they can stand for.
Trump appointee Danielle Forrest agreed with the decision but issued a concurring opinion suggesting too many judges were deciding cases on an emergency basis, fueling perception “we are politicians in disguise.”
So too many judges are being political and making it seem like all judges are political, but this judge is just going to blame it on a perception of the actions of the political judges.
Sounds like she might be 'sending a signal' to #Trump that ramming so many potentially illegal things through so quickly-might be a real way to cause the courts to either slow-roll petitions-or deny, "so many emergency petitions", altogether.

So Forrest's issue is what constitutes an emergency and how it makes them look. I think SCOTUS already addressed that concern. They don't care how it makes them look.
She was actually supportive of the 9th Circuit’s declination to take action. She thinks there are too many Appellate Courts, including SCOTUS, that are issuing emergency orders where there is no emergency. She wasn’t commenting on TROs and Injunctions issued by district courts.
She is. She is saying that Appellate courts should get fully briefed on cases and have oral argument and make reasoned- not rushed- decisions. Particularly when deciding issues of first impression or considering changes to long established laws/principles. There are exceptions, like life/death
A simple solution to Judge Forrest's concern is for the Trump to stop signing executive orders like he is on a cocaine bender and for Musk and his teenage mutants to stop stealing citizens' personal data and government classified info without security clearance and in violation of privacy laws.
I follow the court cases but wonder who will dare to enforce constitutional judgements? I still trust some of the judiciary but have little faith now in the FBI or red-state police.
You’re misreading this. This is the NOT what the concurrence is saying, or even implying. In fact, she says, even though not an emergency it “does warrant expedited scheduling.” You should correct this. @joshgerstein.bsky.social https://bsky.app/profile/periodictweet.bsky.social/post/3lilbbtrfz22m
You say she “stressed the lack of urgency” — but that was her reason for *leaving in place* this “emergency order[] that barred Trump policies” not any “implicit criticism of” such orders.
(And she said one reason there’s no rush to undo the injunction is “the exception to birthright citizenship urged by the Government has never been recognized by the judiciary,” so it’s just maintaining the status quo.)
1. Is Trump's Birthright Citizenship EO an "official" act under Trump v. US. (It's not a "preclusive & conclusive" official act like Trump's removal of Dellinger.) If it's an "official" act it's presumed immune from interfere from an Art. III court, correct? If that's accurate, would a district
Well gosh. If he and Musk’s minions would stop /creating/ emergencies, people might stop reacting to said emergency situations. But this might be a bit of a mental stretch for some people.
Donny issued the executive order. Several state AGs asked a federal judge in Seattle to put donny’s order on hold pending an appeal. Judge said OK. Donnny appealed to the 9th circuit panel (3 judges) to remove the hold and lost. He will now ask either all the 9th c. Judges or SCOTUS to lift it.
One thing I really like about Bluesky:
Someone can ask a question and get a clear, straightforward answer instead of getting a dozen snarky replies deriding them for not knowing.
Agreed. I would never disrespect someone who is seeking knowledge in good faith. I'm a lawyer and a therapist. I'm also happy to share what I know about those areas and if I don't know I can usually point people in the right direction to get an answer.
I didn't mean that you would be disrespectful (I don't know you, but I'm confident you wouldn't). But in that other place, people would see a simple question as an opportunity to pounce.

South Korea put its president on trial for declaring Martial Law for just a few hours.
His duties, as president, were suspended.
South Korea is a REAL democracy.
Fuck the USA.

Legislative: Makes the laws
Executive: Enforces the laws
Judicial: Interprets the laws
There wouldn’t be a need for judges to decide cases on an emergency basis if Pres Musk wasn’t doing overreach in a break-neck speed.
The zone has been deliberately flooded. Sandbags are required until the torrent can be stopped. How is this hard?
It is not Judge Forrest I am side-eyeing here. It is everyone I can be reasonably certain is about to willfully misinterpret her words.
Courts: yeah, no
