So tired of this. So tired of the fascism. So tired of being embarrassed by how stupid, hateful, and incompetent the members of this regime are. I wish I could be proud to be from this country, but at every turn these people make the world hate us more.
Curious what time this was filed. And then curious why the (theoretically) most professional legal entity in the world gets so many second, third, fourth+ chances when if a death penalty appeal is 30 seconds late THEY KILL THE GUY.
If there are negotiations then this is a hostage situation now and America needs to take it as such and get the military involved to recover the hostages (I highly doubt there is a hostage situation fyi)
How can there be a log of attempts/negotiations to bring him back when they’ve said repeatedly to the public that they have no intention of bringing him back and that he’s exactly where he belongs? So they were either lying then or they are lying now. I don’t get how any of this is ok with anyone
Courts: Would you fucking grow a spine and stop all this nonsense and hold this criminal administration accountable for their actions! What is the fucking problem?
I think they are laying the indisputable ground work for the Supreme Court who would gleefully vote against people's rights and liberties if there was any speck of procedural error.
"We wanna be best buddies with the salvadoran tyrant and learn even more from his playbook on abuse of power, torture of prisoners and human rights violations so that we could apply those at home on our citizens too, so don't spoil it for us over some Garcia dude."
They are abusing the privilege of their offices, abusing our legal system, abusing Mr Abrego Garcia, and abusing the public. And this is not the only instance. The entire approach of this regime is completely irreverent of our Constitution, our laws, our ideals, and our citizens.
“ongoing diplomatic negotiations.” = We don't want the public to know just how much money we paid to have these pesky brown people locked up with-out charge.
and the chances of "ongoing ... " is zilch. Trump/Bondi/Miller don't want to bring Garcia home, and the little dictator in El Salvador likes being who he is ...
I thought they aren’t allowed to file under seal anymore ? Weren’t they supposed to have a redacted response along with the one to seal to make sure there is transparency with the public ?
So I'm treating it as the judge being extra careful so that when they throw the lawyer in jail, they can't be reversed on appeal.
Because you know it will go to the supreme Court.
Garland isn't involved in this. He is retired again. He has absolutely nothing to do with the government right now. I don't know why people keep bringing him up.
Really fed up with the courts and this ‘ok but next time, you’re in trouble’ bullshit. It just reinforces the administration’s perceived power. They passed the contempt line a long ago, it’s past time for action.
He has committed no crime, he has not had the benefit of due process, he is jailed in a foreign country in the name of the US. What the hell more do you need? This is the constitution they’re supposed to be protecting, if they weaken it for one, they weaken it for all
This is more nonsense from our adversarial system. The court provides the government with due process after that government has already deprived the litigant of due process. There is no fairness in a tribunal that gives one party this much leeway when it is intentionally violating litigants’ rights.
The part of him sitting in an extremely dangerous prison when he has committed no crime or even been charged is the part that terrifies me. On top of them “accidentally” sending him.
One would think, but not with trump. He does whatever he wants and nobody stops him. Nobody has for 10 years. Nobody has for years before that actually.
Presidential pardon isn't even relevant, they won't be able to get the justice department to even make an arrest. But it's important that they do push for arrests and then force the justice dept to not comply.
I’m as disappointed as everyone. Let’s remember contempt proceedings are unusual against DOJ. Judge Xinis is carefully building to it. But I agree it’s time to move faster.
Do they not know what a privilege log is? If you have privileged information or sensitive information in your privilege LOG, you’ve done something remarkably wrong.

Aren’t lawyers usually torn apart for that kind of shit?
"We wanna be best buddies with the salvadoran tyrant and learn even more from his playbook on abuse of power, torture of prisoners and human rights violations so that we could apply those at home on our citizens too, so don't spoil it for us over some Garcia dude."
Bukele has hostages.
They can't make it public that Trump was never in control.
Also, expect a sweet crypto deal to come Bukele's way before Garcia is released.
Are they honestly power-tripping the big cheese ?
Because you know it will go to the supreme Court.
Stick it hard to these evil vipers, while at the same time leaving no legal cracks through which they can slither. 😠
Well, I'm probably wrong about that, I'm sure someone will tell me he was quietly getting around to stuff behind the scenes.
But this is a case actually being heard in court.
We don’t want to be held accountable for kidnapping him and have no intention of returning him
So…he’s a political prisoner? Why is the first time we’re hearing of this??
Who else would they presumably be ‘negotiating’ with?
Themselves?😂🥴
Utter. Fucking. Bullshit.
They’re paying for this heinous facility.
They staged regime officials AT THE FACILITY for performance art.
They can fucking pick him up today.
But they won’t; there’s no one that will force them to bring him back.
Prove me wrong…
This shit will continue until Xinis starts locking up DOJ ambulance chasers.
Also, if it was filed after 3pm, fuck them.
