Photos from NASA are public domain, yes, but they're often not processed. People who process them deserve credit. FURTHERMORE, we all benefit from source links to verify or do our own research.
I agree that attribution is important even if the photo is public domain (so others can explore the source). Just went and checked Thomas Pesquet's Flickr, some incredible shots.
XD when I was a teenager, my favourite book was The Universe in a Nutshell by Stephen Hawking. There was a theory mentioned that the Universe we perceive could be a 2D hologram in a sense, of another 3D source. That's just a theory, but I don't believe it to be true, just feeling mischievous ^w^
I have no problem with the concept of other universes/dimensions! It's as likely as not. 😁 I DO have a problem with the convoluted explanations as to how day/night/seasons work on a flat disc.
Same, we already received proof the earth is round quite a long time ago. The hologram theory of the universe definitely makes more sense than what flat earthers have to say. They go great lengths to try and explain stuff that has been proven false long ago and ignore the conflicting data
I mean ... all you have to do is watch a ship sail away from you until it disappears over the horizon. If the earth was flat it would never disappear like it does. ANYONE can do this (at least anyone who's got access to the ocean without islands in the way).
I say it may be mages from an astronaut, but what we see in this image is impossible. There are visible streetlights and yet a large section of Earth. Here's another from ISS, less curvature visible (more zoom), nowhere near the detail of street lights. It looks like the original is adjusted.
