I honestly can’t see a difference. I mean I can’t really see a difference between ps4 and ps5 games. I feel like graphics hit a peak where I guess it’s better but I don’t see it.

As I sit here and flip back and forth between those two images..... I don't see anything that makes a significant difference for me.

I can't wait to play it on Switch, and nothing the PS version brings matters to my experience.

Switch version is fine! But, it’s very noticeable on a 4K screen—crisp pixels for the character sprites vs. something that looks upscaled. Reminds me of the Eiyuden Switch port (only not nearly so much of a downgrade.) Comparing the two side by side, I’m gonna stick with PS5.

Something to consider testing: How does the Switch version look on a 1080p screen? There's a non-zero chance that some.of what you're seeing is your *tv's* scaling of an HD signal to UHD, and not specifically the Switch.

A sytem able to output in 4K is always going to look better on a 4K screen than one in 1080p being upscaled. I think it's a no-brainer that the PS5 version would technically look better.

I'm just looking forward to being able to play portable, and that's more important to me. 😊

Portability is absolutely a selling point for Switch, and I don’t think this is anywhere close to Eiyuden where I’d tell people just to skip the game rather than play it on Switch. If I only had this on Switch, I’d be happy, but would probably stick with handheld mode.

I play tons of Switch games on this TV and the upscaling is good. Echoes of Wisdom looks great, as do comparable games like Sea of Stars and Octopath 2.

Even with that better look.... I guess I just don't care. I had the same experience with Persona 5 Royal: Yeah, the PS5 version looks and runs marginally better, but not nearly enough to outweigh the functionality of playing it on Switch.

That’s understandable, but this is one of those games that just *feels right* to buy on Nintendo. It was the same for the physical Pixel Remasters.

Yeah, absolutely. My plan was to get it on Switch for that exact reason, but I think a lot of people are going to be surprised by the lack of defined pixels in their HD-2D game. The sprites look upscaled compared to the crisp PS5 sprites.

Switch is just too weak for me for most non-Nintendo games. Nintendo knows how to make most of their first-party stuff look much crisper and clearer than third-parties for whatever reason. Will be picking up the PC version and playing on my big OLED monitor and my Steam Deck OLED!
