Possibly, except that the White House said in their statement that military planes would still be used and the Colombians didn’t contradict them on that point. Also, I suspect this is an episode where Trump *wanted* the friction for the short-term splash.

If it turns out that future flights are done in the same kinds of planes that were used under Biden, then Petro also claims a kind of win. Trump generates huge amounts of unnecessary friction and ends up with deals that could have been worked out with a fraction of the noise.
