https://alamortsubite.com/en - The Sudden Death beer hall - named after people playing games in their lunchtimes and finishing with a sudden death game. Also highly recommend the Atomium but that is on the outskirts (on the circular bus tour)
Been a couple of years, but Cafe De Halles and area around were good for a mix of social drinking, art and architecture. In the more generic, Stoofvlees is always a good idea when it's cold. And really nice afternoon kebabs too.
I was just about to say βMIMAβ (Millennium Iconoclast Museum of Art) Brussels β but it closed 2 weeks ago. Permanently. What a pity! They always had strong exhibitions.
Otherwise, I was impressed by the βHouse of European Historyβ. Good temp exhibitions next to the permanent one.
