He had 22 appearances and only 5 goals. He ballooned up in 2022 from almost nowhere and since has trended down. Those are just the facts. He is not
Exceptionally fast, he doesn’t track back consistently. He is a Chu replacement not a Ruidiaz replacement. He is not a Oba like move.
1)You’re confusing 2024 and 2023. 2) He’s one of the fastest players in MLS. 3) He tracks and presses like mad. 3) You seem to be thinking of a different player than the guy the Sounders picked up.
Is it? We gave up $2.3 million in GAM, an international spot, sell on % and Leo Chu. Seems like we gave up WAY too much for a mid level forward. There are 10 other players in the league that I would rather have over JF.
I guess we shall see. But I think we are in desperate need for some finishing and Leo Chu had a fairly unproductive season. Who do you think would be a better get?
Yea, we should have sold Chu to that Brazilian club that was interested in him. JF was also not productive last season. 22 appearances and only 5 goals. Lewis Morgan would be a better, or even Rafael Navarro.
You can't have Rafa, he's ours. That said, I think you are underselling JF's merits. Dallas wasn't a good team last season, I think he will be much more productive with Seattle this season
Portland wasn’t a good team last season either…but Evander willed that team to the playoffs and had 15 goals and 15 assists. Good player play well even when the odds are against you. Hope he JF proves me wrong, but my doubts are high.
