I see social media gloating over this but it just seems heartwrenching to me. It’s completely logical for a disengaged and desperate person to see what the president promised and grasp it in desperation.

But: this person and people like her were engaged enough to know about Trump's IVF but totally missed the, um, evil stuff? Never forget the lesson about the farmer who saved the snake only to have it come back and bite him.
It may be strategic for Democrats to use these people (but I think they’d get more from reaching out to the people who didn’t vote at all, for less effort)
But I, as an ordinary citizen, feel no obligation to coddle them

Then we should assume she *would* vote for Trump. That’s what she did the last time, and she hasn’t said she won’t.
The burden is on her to *demonstrate* she has learned & changed for the better. It’s not our burden to give her the benefit of the doubt.
I respect those who genuinely learn from their mistakes, but that's not everybody.

When they become former GOP all they do is bash Democrats.
