Boring diet horror. This is an entry to a contest of which movie can have the most dialogue. It is Hugh being Hugh, the same Hugh as he is in every movie. The trailers gave most of it away. He didn’t try to change his accent or looks. 2/3rds of this movie is dialogue. Hugh rambling on and on...

I liked because it questioned the faith in a fantasy novel and all the resulting rubbish and damage it does. The end surely was a bit stretched to give reasoning..but overall very watchable and catchy movie.

Agreed! I watched it after Alyssa Grenfell reviewed it on her ex-Mormon YouTube channel. Personally I wanted more discourse but it was a perfect balance of action at the end and discourse at the beginning. It focused on LDS and then got more general. I loved it.

Yeah, I’m a never Mormon but I did my Masters in a very Mormon part of Alberta, Lethbridge. But…I’m fascinated with cults and so, that includes both fLDS and LDS. I do love the parallels of Mr. Reed’s control and the control of religious institutions. The shiny, happy contrasted with illusory choice

I loved it.

It didn't go in the directions I expected from the previews and I can see people expecting something maybe more action oriented being disappointed.

But goddamn, Hugh Grant is at his best as a villain every time I see him play one.
