Sonically, my favorite was 6:16 in LA, and lyrically, it was Euphoria, but Meet The Grahams was like watching someone publically get stomped out lmfao. Kendrick got some dark ass energy in him.
Euphoria started it off with the knife stabbing multiple times when he was saying that he hated how he walked and talked 😂 I hate that it gets under looked as well
Drake filling lawsuits proved every single thing Euphoria predicted correct & did so much more damage to his own reputation than anyone, including Kendrick, ever could.
It’s one thing to permanently call his legend status into question.
Only the artist can remove themselves from consideration.
I think "Not Like Us" was a more impactful diss track, as it showcased J. Cole's lyrical prowess. "Meet The Grahams" was more of a personal attack, lacking substance and maturity.
i will never forget the horror it made me feel when i first listened to the song... it was a weird time bro and only kendrick affected me sonically like that
Weirdly enough I was re listening to the beef yesterday and I really think euphoria opens up the beef perfectly setting up the double slam dunk of meet the grahams and not like us, the diss song is also classically Kendrick everything from the beat to the flow to the lyrics was quintessentially kdot
That is what I mean 🤣 I don't know for sure and not going to bet on anything not specifically stated by the artist. You are free to believe anything you want. I'm not judging you or any hardcore Kendrick fan.
I'm not knocking anyone for it but I have observed Kendrick drop stuff people want it and he said nah I'm not feeling it 😂 which leads me to believe he likes setting and subverting expectations.
There was a real darkness in meet the grahams lmao like it’s amazing but a very spooky song lol. Really liked the “you lied” echoing chorus, really gives being visited by 3 ghosts in the night lol

And the ending when he says this a lifelong battle with yourself is a killing blow.
“Now let me say I'm the biggest hater
I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk, I hate the way that you dress”
Printed in the style of a live, laugh, love sign for my living room.
It’s downright inspirational.

Even do it in your head.
Then reflect.
1. Not original.
2. Not creative.
Kendrick is one of the most overblown artists of my lifetime. Lol.
Meet the Grahams was beyond that. It was closer to an outright death threat.
Not Like Us was dancing on the eventual grave.
The great thing is that you can pick any of the 3 and say it's the best and be valid in that opinion.
Meet the grahams ended it
Not like us was the start of the victory lap
Just destroyed him, and blamed his parents at the same time.
Might be my favorite track of the year.
